Program Description

Event Details

Did you know that the average age of a human trafficking victim in the US is 12 years old?  In this presentation, you will hear from New Creation VA's Prevention + Awareness Coordinator to learn about what human trafficking is, how youth are being affected locally, K-12th school programs they sponsor and Office on Youth teaches in your school districts, and resources for parents. You will also be taught the indicators to look for and how to safely and effectively respond. Please consider this presentation to be pg-13 due to the content discussed and take care when considering having kid(s) attend with you.

Registration highly recommended, program will only be held if there are at least 20 registrants.

Events sponsored by the Waynesboro Public Library are open to all and offered at no charge. The Library welcomes people of all abilities. Please alert Rachel McDowell, mcdowellra@ci.waynesboro.va.us, at least ten business days in advance if there is a need for accommodation.
